Amanda Hamilton, is following her dreams by opening Earth Yoga. Amanda's classes are a fun dynamic mixture of Vinyasa Flow Yoga, breath work, meditation, and freedom style movements all done in the spirit of bhakti yoga (a devotional practice centered on love, gratitude, and compassion). Classes are about burning away what no longer serves us so we may better cultivate a loving and fulfilling relationship with self. Amanda's journey into yoga began a few years ago after graduating from college and leaving behind her political career in Chicago and returning back home to the Monterey Bay Area to find herself burnt out and physically ill. Amanda found yoga during this time and attributes it to her rapid recovery. Amanda took her first teacher training in the Vinyasa Flow style of Yoga in 2008 and then moved to Los Angeles where she taught Power Yoga in Agora Hills and Beginners Yoga in High Schools in South Central LA. Amanda stumbled onto Kirtan (chanting) by accident while in Santa Monica and was shocked at the heart opening transformation that took place in her through this practice. Most recently Amanda had the honor to participate in the Bhakti Yoga Shala's first teacher training with Govindas, who has been an amazing teacher and mentor to her on this journey and to whom she is forever grateful. Om Tat Sat. Only goodness is truth. Jai Ma! Victory to Mother!
