Donna Spear originally from Pennsylvania, set out on her healing journey over 15 years ago when going through some of her own personal experiences. Donna has studied many healing modalities over the years and is certified in Usui & Angelic Reiki as a practitioner and teacher. She utilizes healing energy and life experience to support others through their healing process.
In 2012 Donna listened to her heart taking a Yoga Teacher Training completing her 200 hour Vinyasa certification. She then expanded her knowledge and passion of Yin yoga in a 100 hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training, 30 hour Restorative Teacher Training and is also registered with Yoga Alliance. Donna creates a safe space for students to explore asana and meditation through her deep understanding of body movement, emotional holding and spiritual practices. Yoga for Boomers, Golfers, Walkers, Tennis players, and more specifically targets the "new" senior who wants to remain strong, active, and flexible. There are six classes held each week at the Agawam Senior Center on Main Street.

Two classes are designed for those new to yoga. The "Gentle" classes are scheduled on Monday - 11:30 and Wednesday - 9:45AM. Four classes are designed for those with prior yoga experience. These classes are held on Monday - 8:15, Tuesday - 4:15, Wednesday - 8:15, and Friday - 11:15. Classes at the Agawam Senior Center are $5.00 per class; its a pay as you go system.

Crestview Country Club is hosting a new Saturday morning class beginning July 14 - August 25. Although this class targets the needs of golfers, anyone who enjoys doing yoga, especially in a beautiful outdoor setting with a panoramic view of the mountains, is welcome.
