Our studio is located in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek. We offer daily classes in Iyengar Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Pilates, Prenatal Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Back Care Yoga, Yoga for 50+, Meditation, Feldenkrais ATM, and Meditation. We also have and workshops and retreats...both local and international.

We offer a 200+ Hour Advanced Studies/Teacher Training Program that is Yoga Alliance registered. Students will leave the program with a strong base in the therapeutic aspects of both teaching and practicing yoga. The sixth training program will start in the late Spring of 2013. Barbara Kaplan has been studying yoga and meditation since 1978 and teaching since 1989. Throughout 2002, Barbara wrote the Beginners Column in Yoga Journal, and prior to that she published feature articles on the Chakras and "Yoga for Good Digestion." Her classes combine Iyengar, Restorative, Yin, and Vinyasa styles. Mary Corbin has been a student of yoga since 1989 when she began her exploration with Rodney Yee in the Iyengar tradition. Her teaching also reflects the influence of intensive studies with Sarah Powers, who instills the power of deep observation and listening; and David Life and Sharon Gannon, who inspire us to truly live our yoga with deep commitment to the classical teachings of the eight-limb path. A devoted practitioner of Ashtanga in the tradition of daily Mysore practice as taught by Sri K. I've trained in Ashtanga, Dynamic, and Anusara yoga, where I respectively learned dedication, energetics, and therapeutic/joyful aspects of a yoga practice.

I also work as a transformational life coach and course leader, and infuse my instruction with opportunities to explore all the various aspects of our selves.

I have a background in dance, aerobics, personal training, Pilates, and yoga. I am certified through Yoga Alliance, Stott Mat Pilates trained, and AFAA personal trainer and group fitness certified. I have been in the fitness industry since 1995, and have been teaching yoga since 1997. Yoga, Pilates, and overall fitness have been the driving force and passion in my life.

I realized that by balancing my body through yoga, I was better able to achieve the right balance in my life, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. My outlook on life was more positive, became simpler and less stressful. My overall health and relationships improved, and I stressed the little things less and less. I found that when life seems to pull me in many directions, this reminds me of the simplicity of life. Just take a few deep breaths and cherish living in the moment.

It has always been my passion to share my love of fitness with others, and opening my own studio is a dream realized in achieving this personal and professional goal.

We believe in providing an effective and exciting workout that builds strength and endurance, without adding unnecessary bulk. We want you to get into great shape by using core enhancing Pilates exercises and strength building yoga poses that lengthen and tone, giving you a dancer like body.

Welcome to our yoga studio! I am so excited to share the benefits of yoga and mat Pilates with you! Since we are new to town, we are still trying to spread the word around about us.
