At Heart of Florida Yoga we create an authentic yoga experience. Every session begins with breath work to start a unionizing effect with the body and mind. We bring movement through warm up as needed for each body type. Asanas are chosen to accommodate the individuals needs. In a group setting we use variations and modifications. Every practice ends in final resting pose. This final pose gives the body and brain time for assimilation of the practice (meditation). I am a very experienced and professional yoga instructor with over three decades of experience instructing committed to making a difference in the educational field, specifically with each student, by applying wide knowledge of Yogic philosophy, methodology, and the science behind the practice of the asanas, breathing, postures and meditation as each class/practice works to enhance students' performance, fulfillment and enjoyment. I serve people to realize the importance of yoga to maintain a sound body and a sound mind, and I use my in-depth knowledge and understanding of yoga in the field to broaden the practice of students' yoga practice, all feeling at ease at their comfort level. Yoga is used for a tool for relaxation and happiness in their daily lives. I thrive on helping students realize to use yoga as a healthy lifestyle and to also realize that YOGA is one of the best gifts they can give themselves!

I started my training with the very best Foundation in CA in the '80s, one of the most influential yoga centers to shape the modern flow-based yoga scene in the western world. It is a nationally renowned yoga center. I continued to keep up on my studies and certifications and hold 9 certifications, in addition to being CYA 500 hours (highest level). I have owned my own business in two cities, one being Miami and performed with a television celebrity, and have taught in three other state. I am highly trained to teach: group yoga all levels, senior yoga with disabilities, chair yoga, fitness yoga, power yoga, teen yoga, sport yoga which includes men, (in all my classes), professional athletic yoga, meditative yoga, beach yoga, Christian yoga and yoga geared to a groups preference. I am an Assistant Professor so I have excellent teaching and communication skills. I have done volunteer yoga, some being for addicts of all types and inmates which have proven to be extremely successful. My schedule allows me to work with corporations, private clients, residential developments, studios, group cruises, fitness camps and medical practices. Aerial yoga uses moves and poses derived from dance, Pilates, yoga, and calisthenics with the hammock to increase strength and flexibility to tone the body.
